A significant step forward in our North American growth strategy

The North American market today represents one of Biocatalysts’ largest sales regions, and our strategic intent is to substantially grow our presence in the North American markets. To provide a seamless customer experience, we are now aligning our North American Food, Baking & Beverages enzyme business under the leadership of Ludwig Klermund, VP North America. Ludwig and team will be working closely with the Europe based teams to drive innovative solutions for our Food Enzymes business whilst giving our customers the local support they require.

To enhance service and expand our product offerings in the US, we have merged our two US entities: Biosun Flavors & Food Ingredients, which serves the Baking, Beverages, Grain Processing, and Dressings & Sauces industries with enzymes, flavors, and colors, and Biocatalysts Inc., which specializes in enzyme solutions and fermentation services for dairy, flavor processing, and protein hydrolysis. Now fully operating under the Biocatalysts brand from our office and manufacturing site in Tampa, this transition strengthens our brand identity and aligns our US operations with our global business. Effective immediately, all documentation, labels, and branding will reflect the Biocatalysts name.

As part of this transition, we are also integrating Biocatalysts Inc. customers into our Tampa operations, ensuring smoother processes and an enhanced service experience.

These changes build on our continued expansion, following the 2023 acquisition of Breatec, WeissBioTech, and Biosun Flavors & Food Ingredients from our parent company, BRAIN Biotech AG. This strategic move solidifies the foundation of #BRAINBiocatalysts, proudly operating under the Biocatalysts brand worldwide.

With these developments, we are reinforcing our commitment to innovation, efficiency, and superior service for our customers across the US and beyond.
